SIXSHOT BITS: BRIEF NEWS ON T.I, R. KELLY AND SLUM VILLAGE

Atlanta rapper T.I.  is among several artists confirmed to perform at The BET Hip Hop Awards next week.
The BET Hip Hop Awards will also feature performances from Soulja Boy, Nelly, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West and Common. 
The show, which will be hosted by Katt Williams, will take place on Saturday (October 13) at Atlanta's Civic Center and will be broadcast on Wednesday (October 17) at 8 p.m.
T.I. leads the Hip Hop Awards with nine nominations include ?Best Live Performance?, ?Hustler of The Year and ?MVP Of The Year?.
T.I. has already begun working on his sixth album which is currently untitled.  He recently released the video for his third single of T.I. Vs T.IP titled ?Hurt?, which you can watch here.

Detroit duo Slum Village will be touring Australia this month.   According to Undercover AU, T3 and Elzhi will hit stages from Sydney to Adelaide.  Their fifth album, titled The S and the V, is slated for release this year.

UP TO NO GOOD
 
British singer Amy Winehouse will release a deluxe DVD titled I Told You I Was Trouble on November 13th.

The DVD includes footage of Winehouse performing a 60 minute concert at London?s Sheperd?s Bush Empire.   The DVD also includes a 50 minute film chronicling her rise to fame with interviews with her father and rare behind the scenes footage.

With the trial date for his child-pornography case not yet determined, R. Kelly has plans to hit the road to promote his latest album Double Up.
 
According to MTV,  the singer?s 37 day trek will launch on November 14 in Columbus, Georgia, and conclude in Hampton, Virginia on January 12. Newcomer J. Holiday will reportedly serve as his opening act.
 
Despite his plans, Kelly has to receive permission from a judge to leave town.  His next status hearing is on November 2.
 
Kelly also recently released the video for his third single off Double Up titled ?Rockstar?. The video for the song , which can  be viewed below, features a cameo from Ludacris and Kid Rock.
